I am such a magnet to injured animals and I don't know why since just looking at blood sometimes makes me feel like I'm going to faint. I found this mourning dove on our driveway this morning. He doesn't look good. He has one broken wing and could not hold his head up :(
I absolutely LOVE mourning doves, their cooing outside my window is something I look forward to every morning. Sure hope he pulls through. Beautiful close-up photo.
Oh, no. Poor guy. This is a tremendous photo, fantastic detail around his eye. Certainly makes a person feel helpless when there isn't much that can be done. :-(
@westerly45@merteskid@tabarlett@juliac Thank you for your kind comments. I was able to take him to a wildlife refuge but the lady said he had something toxic which made him half paralyzed :(
