Just a few minutes drive from where I took yesterday's pic of the Verrazano Bridge Sunset, (for which I thank everyone and am so appreciative for all the wonderful comments and Favs!), is the Coney Island Amusement Park. Here is one of the most famous attractions and pure Americana - The Wonder Wheel. Built in 1920, this eccentric ferris wheel stands 150 feet and has some cars that slide in and out on rails as the wheel turns.
Such a fantastic looking thing! Your shots make me want to visit your city. I would also want to take a ride on the ferris wheel especially in a moving capsule!
I like it. I took a similar picture at the State Fair of Texas last year that isn't nearly as good. There isn't any good vantage point to get it. I'll post it for my today's picture.
