It's a cool B&W conversion technique. Lower the blue content in the grayscale mix to 0. And then play with the yellows, aquas and oranges. Fav.

Me personally when I do this, I like to add a little warmth with a little toning in the shadows. Browns (yellows and reds) in the shadows on a separate Color Balance Layer and then pull it down to taste.
