Sometimes I feel like I am admist a war.. Fighting for not only my own survival but my children's as well. This thing called life that we battle with. Lone parent, working, trying to continue with my uni work etc.. There is just never enough time. It always feels like a struggle, a fight and never ending. Then I pick up my camera.. my sanctuary.. When i get this close to flowers, trying to get that focus right, my breath pauses and I lose all sense of the struggles and fights.. I find peace. Peace for me is looking through that lens. sooc.
“Peace is not something you wish for; It's something you make, Something you do, Something you are, And something you give away.”
Robert Fulghum quotes
I'm glad you have a bit of time again to pick up the camera and lose yourself in it. I feel exactly as you do and it doesn't really matter whether my shots are comment worthy that day or not, it's the very fact of having the camera in my hand and looking through the view finder. I love the focus on the centre of this flower with the softness surrounding it xx
