Owl Gymnastics

This owl was massive and pretty darn scary to be honest... Yet stunningly beautiful as well :) (Not sure what type it is).
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend xx

Edit 5th June - Massive thank you for all of your faves, and wonderful comments. I have been trying to get more information on this owl, though the wildlife park's website is very basic and lacks details. The owl is called Ottis and he weighs about 3lbs, and he is 3 years old and I believe he is a long eared owl. He was born in captivity at the wildlife park. He is part of the bird display team, though I kind of gatecrashed that event as soon as I saw him flying. When I took this shot, he was taking a swoop down to take some food from the handler. Getting a shot with the wings in that position was pure luck, the hardest part for me was getting him in focus. I was just aiming to take a shot of him in focus flying... Not an easy task for me lol... HIs wing span must be around 85 cms long.. he was massive and it was pretty scary to hav a bird of that size fly close to my head. I do have another shot or two ofhim which i will use as fillers at some stage when i cantch up with comments on peoples shots etc .. I hope you have all had a most wonderful weekend xx
Another shot of Ottis can be seen here: http://365project.org/michelleyoung/365/2012-04-04
