June6-1 The Dragon has been slain!

This guy seemed to just fall from the sky and was last seen gasping for his last breath. He'll get a proper burial....

I tried some different editing techniques on this one. Comments more than welcome.

Excellent. Lighting, b/w, composition and the background. The background makes this shot. What other editing techniques did you try?

@carmel Of all things, the background is a paper towel - maybe Brawny? I did a sharpening overlay with the b&w with some IR filtering. The body and major wings sections are actually more orange in natural color but the details in the wings were hard to see. This also came out looking more 'ghostly' as well.

@mikegifford Well I never. That background looks like carved wood - great editing job! This has a really ancient, almost prehistoric kind of look to it. I think it's fabulous.

He looks like he's smiling. I guess that means he died happy?

@webfoot He was like a fish out of water....I'm pretty sure it was a lengthy death, which probably wasn't too pleasant. If he was happy while this was happening then he was on drugs....but most likely he died by poisoning.
