Hands at Work

Working on some thoughts for my get pushed challenge this week from @colie (Nichole).
@colie - I've been thinking of a series for some time that involves hands and tools. For some reason I like the look of these low key and gritty images. Any thoughts about a series of these for the push?

I was just thinking about hands today. They are one of our most powerful tools. To think of all the work they've done and things they've created over a life time. People they've touched, weight they've held, tears They have wiped. I think it's a perfect choice!!!

Excellent shot. The processing is amazing, makes these hands look like they have been at work for some time!

Oooohhhh--so creepy looking! Or maybe just hard at work?

I have a thing for mans hands that look like they are resourceful, worked hard....there is like a safety in the roughness an old fashioned separation of genders...I did write a song about it once, mentioned that woman shouldn't drag their man to a manicurist or try to make him pretty...lol
Do love this very much

Very evocative shot. Really makes you stop and think what those hands have done.
They are strong hands, but they also have an element of softness to them.

Wonderful arms and hands. Great lighting, well done for the challenge.

Wow. Super amazing subject, and the processing really brings it all together.

Fantastic, you've really shown how to capture a lot about a person's life just by showing their hands.

@colie Thanks for the Fav Nichole! I like this one so far the best too. We'll see if I can get a fourth in the series taken by the end of the week.
