In Full Voice

This young mockingbird was singing away today. Haven't heard many birds lately - think the miserable hot sticky weather has slowed down their singing.

Great timing - he's certainly putting his heart into it!
I expect they'll be in full voice when you get some rain. I don't know if a shower does help their voices or if it's the air quality after rain that does it but birdsong definitely sounds sweeter after a shower, or even a downpour.

@dulciknit I think they sound sweeter too....maybe because it's like a celebration.
