That's the way this poor Viceroy must feel - the way he's positioned on the driftwood, you don't really notice how much of that wing is missing - may have a hard time making the flight.
Sort of makes my heart sad, imagining what this beautiful creature might be thinking or feeling. Is he worrying about making the trip or does he already know he won't be able to and he's now resigned to make this place you've photographed him his final resting place? Beautiful winged thing you've shared with us.
