Or - you really have to be headed here or you'll never get here! The road to this unbelievable restaurant is a two lane road through the National Forest and along the Mulberry River. It runs into a dirt road about a mile past here. This is the Oark General Store, established in 1890 to serve the isolated community of Oark. It's now on the Arkansas Register of Historic Places and is mainly a restaurant. Wish I had gotten the shot when the front area was full of motorcycles - the place was packed - had to wait on the porch for an opening. Food is wonderful and reasonable - and their pies are to die for! Their guest register showed a couple from Rome, Italy had been there the day before. How on earth did they find it!
