Goldfinch watching me watch him

Just barely finished year 1 when the world around here changed. My husband suffered a stroke an hour after I posted my last picture - but is now doing much better. Still has a way to go, and my posting may be sporadic at times - but I do enjoy this so much I'm giving it another try. There may not be much variety for a while since I'll be staying close to home, but with prayers and doctor's skills, we hope to return to normal. Meanwhile, I'm out hunting birds and frost these days.
Wishing your husband well, and so sorry. Your photo perspective will surely be different. This one is beautiful.

You gold finches don't go gray color in the winter? Our finches aren't really yellow at all in winter. This is great.

@sailingmusic These goldfinches stay a brilliant yellow in the winter, especially when I can catch the sun on them.
