Having a lot of fun with these pseudo macro lens filters - like the detail it gave on this sweet gum ball. You can almost feel the stickies! And no one even said a word about me sitting down on the ground on the trail!
I'm looking forward to getting my close up filters.... whenever the come.... still waiting.
Wanted to share a similar photo with you from another 365'er .. I think sometimes it is good to compare similar subjects and styles. I really like your photo. And I like the DOF you have chosen to make the subject stand out, but I think it would look even better on a contrasting background?
@adambralston Thanks for the thoughts, Adam. And I wish now I had taken two shots - was so concerned about trying for the detail, that I didn't also think about the total effect. So much to think about! But it's help from other 365'ers that sure help me to learn. Thanks.
@milaniet Don't get me wrong, I love the red light in the background, and I think that adds contrast and interest for sure. Hope you don't mind me commenting. I tell everyone, I don't comment unless I like a photo.
