I've watch this robin building her nest - carrying twigs to it. On the first pass around the trail this morning, she was sitting patiently in it. By pass 3, she was gone, and I peeked in - 4 eggs. I wanted to tell her the story of what happened last year to the robin who left her eggs unguarded - they were stolen. Hope she comes back quickly!
@falcon11 All because I noticed this one robin with a mouthful of "stuff" - watched when she went into this very short (maybe 8' tall) pine tree - along the walking trail. Got to watching for her - she built her nest not 5' off the ground (scary - too accessible) and it would become part of my morning routine to check it out - it's not 5' off the main path but don't think I would have noticed her if I hadn't seen her in building stage.
