Not sure I would have spotted this pileated woodpecker if he hadn't been so noisy working on this limb. Had to circle several times before I could find an open view. Strange looking fellow.

Woody Woodpecker!!! We have the big ones like this all over in our woods, but they never stay still long enough for a photo! We also have the small version that do come to our feeders and they are so cute!! I would just LOVE to get a capture of the pileated woody, but no luck yet!! This is just an amazing shot with awesome details and lighting! Incredible capture and FAV!!
