The birds lately seem to have only two choices in stopping - in the most inner branches of the trees or the very tippy top of the tree. Would sure like an outside limb someday. At least this mockingbird stayed put during his singing.
He is singing of course just look at the blue sky which makes for a happy bird ... It would definitely make it easier for us if they would chose the outer branches to sit on.

@calm Thanks for the compliment, Cathy. Just love this Canon bridge camera - the SX50 - has a fantastic range - from the tiny flowers to the birds on the overhead wire - is lightweight - and relatively inexpensive. Have 2 DSRL's and have left them alone for months now. Love the versatility of this, its focus, and color. Not great in low light and a little slow on 2nd shot but I can live with those.
@milaniet Thanks, Milanie! I have a local friend who is getting amazing photos with that same camera... I get tired of lugging around a big camera at times... this may be on my Christmas list (usually my list consists of just trying to get what everyone else wants)!
