This was one of a two-some this morning - I'm guessing the female. The male was to her left doing some kind of a courtship routine - he fly up about 10", do some flapping, then sit on the limb again - and repeat - about 5 minutes worth! Should have backed off and tried to get the two of them, but I was having such fun watching I was afraid they would fly if I moved. Meanwhile, she just sat and watched like me.
How sweet! She does look to be studying the moves of the dance. She's a sleek, pretty thing, isn't she. Wouldn't that be something if you were witness to a courtship that will become a family of mockingbirds in the future.
