The Three Stooges by milaniet

The Three Stooges

Look who was outside my bedroom window this afternoon, merrily splashing away - three cedar waxwings! Glad the camera was handy. Welcome to 2015! Year 4 has begun.
Terrific Capture! Happy New year!

I LOVE these guys! We have them by me, but I rarely see them. A goes to preschool at an outdoor education center/museum...that's where I can be guaranteed a sighting! Great composition! It looks like they are singing together! Happy New Year!

Great capture. They do look waxy. I wonder if that's how they got their name? At first I thought they were little statues.

Super awesome catch! I would be so excited to see this. I haven't seen a cedar waxwing in over 5 yrs. We used to have flocks of them come by every season, but they were always way up in the trees, never close like these 3. Guess they don't like us any more :-( FAV!

What a neat surprise for 2015 ... I had no idea that the cedar waxwings feature some red color on their wings. A very nice shot Milanie and I'm happy for you that you had the camera handy. Super nice shot! Was it snowing in your neck of the woods?

@skskunky We haven't had a bit of snow this year - and just a few days cold enough for frost. Really disappointing.
