I've seen them an eagle while out in the boat a few years ago, but never close enough to get a shot. This one was in the tree near the boat ramp. I started shooting from some distance, (to be sure I got at least one shot) then kept walking closer to the tree. Must have gotten within 30 feet of the base and it didn't bother him at all. Unfortunately, he was well camouflaged with all the small limbs! Still exciting.
Congrats on your first! Love your collage I guess you had a hard time deciding on which picture to post? I know the feeling! All of them are beautiful but he does look a bit grumpy! FAV....
How awesome! I especially like the center right image which has superb detail in the feathers. I bet it was exciting to see. I hope ours returns next spring!
WOW Milani!!! What an incredible collage of beautiful photos of this magnificent bird!! The details, lighting, clarity, compositions, everything is just stunning and so well captured!!! Awesome FAV!!!!!
You do that shoot and walk and shoot and walk thing too. You have to do that to ensure you get at least one photo of it. If I saw an eagle in the wild I would freak out! Good job!
Yeah, you! Such an exciting shot, and it is very beautiful. I am not sure why you were worried about the branches. The leaves add more color and show him in his true environment.
