This hawk (not sure which) stayed around in the backyard for close to an hour - switched trees once but only about 25 yards apart. I'm amazed how they can swivel their heads. He had it once where his back looked like it should be his front! Sure kept all the little birds gone from the yard.
Amazing capture of this hawk! I can always tell when a hawk's camped out on the perimeter of my yard: there's not a sparrow in sight near the feeder. Excellent focus on his eyes, in both pictures.
