Finally Stayed Still by milaniet

Finally Stayed Still

I have tried to catch the little chickadee for the last month it feels like - they never stay put long enough to get focused - finally gave in and went for the feeder shot. Not that he stays there very long!
Haha, I know the feeling well. These little chickadees, look so much like our Coal Tits, and appear to behave like them as well, never staying still. Our Blue and Great Tits, will sit still and even pose, but not Coal Tits.
So I know what it takes to get a decent shot of these, congratulations, a very nice shot.

Lovely shot as always... They can get the better of you I know - if they wouldn't be so fidgety life would be good for us. But I guess the joy lies in the hunt????? Nice capture Milanie!

Nice capture with the seed in the mouth Milanie! I know what you mean about trying to capture these little birds, they don't sit still for very long!

He's got a beak-full there! Such a cute bird. They honestly are a hyper little bird. Good job catching this one.

Great capture of the chickadee. It is usually hard to capture the eye with those black head bands but you've managed to do it.

Little birds are so quick! I'm glad you finally captured a shot of this one.

Lovely shot of this cute little chickadee with his mouth full of bird seed!!

at first I though it had the biggest bill of any chickadee I have ever seen and then I realized it was a seed in it's bill :)

Pretty capture. The chickadee who visits my bird feeder is too quick for me to capture a shot of.

I have a wren that is too quick for me too. One day! This is a cute capture.

This is a fantastic shot Milanie!! Chickadees and Titmouses are the hardest to catch because they just grab their food and go back up in the tree to open it!! You got great details and clarity on this little guy! They sure make a lot of noise for such little birds!! FAV!!!

I was just thinking of you today, wondering how Snow White in Arkansas is doing. Looks like you are having fun and still have the birdies flocking to you!!

@kt8ird I loved your joke to Kathy - could see it really happening! Where we are seems to have been the dividing line - snow north and south of us but very little here (enough to close school for 2 days but that's because bus routes north of us were bad). Would like one good snow!
