Love this pretty Eastern Tailed Swallowtail - and I realize he must have been thirsty - but I sure wish he'd learn about photographers wanting a prettier background to show him off!
The design on his wings is fantastic! I'm like you about backgrounds. I know there are many programs to make the background beautiful, I just haven't taken that step!
But what amazing detail you've captured in this picture. Funny about your wishing he'd poised in a different place tho. I've let a photo opportunity go a time or two because the background wasn't too attractive. Glad you went ahead and snapped this picture.
