Is That Bug Having Lunch? by milaniet

Is That Bug Having Lunch?

Check this on black. I was caught by the detail on the blooming rattlesnake master - then noticed the unusual bug on it. When I looked at it on the screen he appears to have a leg around a black bug under him.
Nice macro, interesting bug(s)

I often find photo bombers I didn't see with the camera in my face :)

That unusual bug is amazingly colored and marked. Hopefully he's not as destructive as the Japanese Beetles that I first thought were so pretty with their iridescent colors. After having thousands of them in my yard for the last three weeks, there's nothing left of quite of few of my trees and bushes. :( Maybe your handsome bug would come have them for lunch. :)

Yes. It seems as though you've captured a real natural drama there. But I like it best for beauty of the flower and its composition within the frame.

A beautiful shot of this little bug and friend! I like the reds against the green of the plant.

@cmsch52 From what I've read, the name may come from the fact that this plant was used for treating the bite of a rattlesnake in the olden days.

That's definitely a macro action shot! Amazing what goes on under our noses that we don't very often see! Lovely shot:)
