They're All Over by milaniet

They're All Over

I'm guessing they're a sandpiper - correct me please if I'm wrong - they're all over the beach - so funny to watch them run from the waves. Still no sun, but lots of walking on the beach. Have taken over 200 shots so far - Cropping is about all I can do on this laptop.
Nice action shot

Fav. Like how close you got. Nice detail. It hard to identify them and me books are at home. But there are a ton of birds similar to the sandpipers. That’s quite a handsome one , whatever it is.

Think your right about the sandpiper. It's one of them. But it is fun to watch them try to dodge the water, running up and down the bank. Hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow.

Looks like a Sanderling to me, a kind of sandpiper.

I think @annepann is right. I love watching these little birds as they run along the beach looking like they don't want to get their feet wet! Great capture.

Sandpiper or plover. Nice catch

Wonderful shot of this little bird...I can just picture him dashing away from the water and probing for a meal in the sand (I can see the little pile of sand on its beak!) I love that you froze the water so that we can enjoy each little bubble. Have fun...sunshine or not!

Great timing! Wonderful action! :-)

Lovely shot. I think this is a Sanderling - the black beak, its energetic running around, and the shoulder mark would seem to support the sanderling id. However, US bird names don't always equate with UK!

Wonderful capture. I know these little guys move fast so nicely done.

I'd have to agree with the Sanderling ID. The Sandpipers I'm familiar with are a little more to the brown and tawny coloring end of the spectrum. Great shot!
