I think the scissor-tailed flycatcher is one of the prettiest birds we have around here - I'm always thrilled to spot one when they return in the spring. On the ground, they're skittish, but if they're up somewhere they'll stay put usually - at least long enough.
Such a fabulous looking bird! I've never seen them around my yard but last week I saw one at the lake where I've been kayaking...I'd love to get a shot of one. :-)
