For those of you like Anne @annepann need to know who this is - really don't know my birds like I should. Do know I haven't taken a shot of one like this before - and got at least 5 good shots. Perfectly happy to sit there and watch me taking my pictures. Is it perhaps a female yellow warbler? That tummy was so yellow all the way down and no flecking.
I am thinking this is a young (see yellow still in corners of mouth) Orchard Oriole. Sometimes the fact that they don't fly away as quickly is another indication that they are young. Fantastic shot! Excellent focus and lighting.
@annepann Thank you, Anne - was hoping you'd see it and give me your thoughts. That possibility had crossed my mind but when they're young AND female, it just throws me :)
