This is one more from last week's trip to see the colors. A far more peaceful day than today. Tried to get the new "enhanced" driver's license - 2nd try - thought I had every conceivable paper they'd mentioned - but now they say that since my birth certificate doesn't list a middle initial - and everything else does - I have to have those match (Wasn't given a middle name at birth - picked that up when I was christened). Also needed a marriage license from a brief marriage 60 years ago - definitely not around any longer! Oh the fun of dealing with the government! I'll rely on my passport - good for 10 more years.

Come the future, and Hal says " you mean you didn't update all relevant documents with government authorities after Windows 8987 ? Microsoft and other previous antique systems such as Apple, Pear, Cherry and Banana are no longer recognised.
Failure to provide fully updated legal electronic proof of existence will result in you being non existent.

We saw on the telly that many people haven't been able to vote in the mid-terms because they lacked the correct papers or had missed a punctuation mark or other seemingly ridiculous errors. Mark Prince's comment is brilliant, but maybe we'll all get micro-chips at birth which will record everything in a Big Brother Super Computer...
