As I'm on Jerik duty 24/7 today through tomorrow I had to dig back to earlier this month - the clouds were really lovely that morning - even if it was just for a brief time. Glad to get to share this one. I'm proud of my 2 year old great-grandson - he and I just spent 30 minutes in the 4x8 tornado shelter and he did great! Wish I could have videoed him dancing.
Just amazing clouds - beautiful! Tornado shelter?!! Were you told to go to a safe place? Jerik is lucky to have such a fun great - grandma who dances during tornado warnings!
@365karly1 The siren is about 1/2 mile from the house and it went off when they spotted rotation in the clouds and gave the warning on tv to take cover. Fortunately, Bill had a shelter built into the garage about 7 years ago.
Wow- the picture alone is stunning but the story to go with it a bit scary! Had to laugh at myself- I thought Jerik was a typo for jury duty and couldn't figure out how your grandson ended up at the courthouse in a tornado shelter with you! It wasn't until I read the rest of the commentary and a few comments that my silly brain figured it out. Glad to know you are both safe and sound. I have driven through a super cell and know those winds are pretty serious.
