Silent Spring by milaniet

Silent Spring

The early morning walks lately remind me of Rachel Carson's book "Silent Spring" - that worries me. So few birds out - hope it's just some oddity. This mockingbird was the only one I saw.

Great capture of this beautiful mockingbird. They rarely visit my yard. All my regular birds are out in full force plus the hummingbirds are back. :-)

Beautiful capture.
I haven't read Silent Spring but am familiar with its message. A drop in numbers in a single species isn't necessarily a cause for concern but if you're seeing fewer birds generally that could be a worry.
