I hadn't seen an osprey in many years - at least that I recognized. They're not too common in Ozark. Spotted him early in our Alpine Loop Drive and was sure he'd fly before I could get out of the car. Wasn't the least concerned.
Oh my - this is a wonderful shot. Love how he is sitting on the fence post and the beautiful light on his chest. Great fall colors in the background. Nice sharp focus on his eye. Excellent image!
Nice capture. I am surprised that you found him in Arkansas. I've seen them in Florida and South Carolina but never near the mountains of Tennessee where I live.
