Now that title may have caught your eye - no, the crepe myrtle is not new, but this is the first time I've ever taken a shot with my phone! My old Samsung got dropped once too much and I was forced to buy a new one, so got one with a camera that was supposed to be fairly decent. Now I just have to learn how to use it when needed.

I can't get on with the camera on a phone, I admire anyone who can. I can't hold it steady and I much prefer using a view finder for framing a shot - it was one of the things that drove me to a DSLR from a compact camera.
beautiful! Here's a hint that I think works for most cameras --- you can use either of the volume buttons to take a pic. Makes it very easy to take one-handed pics .
