Tonight, we attended the annual Renaissance Christmas concert by a local early music group. The beautiful setting is a very small, intimate chapel with soft candlelight all around. The group sings Renaissance, medieval, and more recent (sacred) carols, a capella. Absolutely gorgeous music, and in this setting, it seems almost magical. This is always a treat, and I never miss it! I buy my tickets as soon as they go on sale.
