That's a crazy pretty flower! Love the color of it and those things protruding out from the petals. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that around here!
@monika64 Monika, there's a couple of steps, and I used Photoshop CS 5. First, I copied the background layer. (Control J on a PC) Then I used a filter in Photoshop, Photocopy, on that new background layer. (you will have to change to 8 bit to use it, and make sure the black and white colors in the panel are set to default) Then change the layer property from normal, you can scroll through them, I think I used Multiply. Then I reduced the opacity to where it looked best. Whew, I hope you can understand what I said, it's a lot!
@mimigd Thanks for that, I got most of it. Was the filter a drawing pencil one? I use the layer properties a little but dont really fully understand them but it is fun to play around, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, here it definately did.
@monika64 I just had to open Photoshop to check....it's under "Sketch" in the Filter menu. If you keep this a separate layer, it allows you to reduce the effect, which is usually too much, so it doesn't work well on the main background layer.
I found it on the popular page.
the effect is magnificent, can I ask how you did it?
