they're mine! all mine!!! and you can't play with them! :P~~
my mother collected beanie babies back in the 90's thinking she'd sell them later and make profit. however, last i checked they're only going for about dollar or two. she did specify in her hand written will that most of these babies should be donated to the children of St. Jude. she also wrote for us to pick out a few for the grand children first. this is not even a fourth of all the beanie babies she has. i just got lazy and tired of getting them out of the bins and setting them up. so here we have greed with a side of sloth. haha
I just recently found a bunch of Beanie Babies when I was cleaning up my (college freshman) son's closet. But when I talked to him next and laughed about finding them, I was told "Don't get rid of them! They're mine!" So I set them all out on his bed for when he comes home at break.
I confess, I bought hoards of them too. Well, they were for my daughter, but she left them all here when she moved out, so I guess I re-inherited them. I remember standing in line at some shops waiting for the shipment to come in, it was crazy...and remember when McDonald's came out with the teeny beanie babies that first time...oh my, the line in the drive-thru was crazy!!
@pegbarr hahah! yes, Peggy. i remember the long lines. and we ate mcd about every day for a whole month, just so we could get those teeny beanies for mom. LOL. the kids didn't mind. not sure what happened to all those teeny ones. i didn't find them when i was digging in the bins for this picture. maybe they are in there somewhere.

@httpgeffed haha Yeah Colleen. my kids threw them around alot too. Mom would get so upset when the tags would come off because of their rough play.
@hoosierhokie awww Becca, that is a sweet story. it reminds me of my own son, now 20, asking me to bring him his baby blankie.
