Crimson Rosella by miraries

Crimson Rosella

In the Dandenong Ranges, Grant's Picnic Area was just full of daytrippers enjoying the last few days of the holidays. Lots of native birds like sulphur-crested cockatoos, galahs, king parrots & crimson rosellas flock here because they know there are tourists, mainly children, eager to hand feed them with seeds. I guess it was the rosellas turn this day - I couldn't see any other birds around. It was great to see the kids enjoying the birds
Wow - what a beautiful bird!

I love Rozellas. We are close to the National Park and get them around our place a lot. They are usually timid. I love hearing them early in the morning. Beautiful pics.

I lived in Cockatoo for awhile and although it's a beautiful area, those bloody cocky's used to drive me crazy in the morning with their scretching..

Great Collage, of beautiful birds. I get some similar flying through, can never catch the little blighters - too fast, but now I have the sunflowers they may stop long enough for a Picture.

Thanks for following - I return the compliment. I spent the last couple of years wandering Oz with my wife, a car and a tent. It's a great country and we hope to be back soon. Enjoying your pictures.
