Photo shoot by the lake

This was taken on one of my husband and my's recent photo shoots. The snow beyond the bench is a lake which is frozen over. We saw some people standing out on it and trying to skate on it a little farther up. I don't think I would chance that.
You can see the people on the lake here:

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. It's only reaching about 24 degrees F here today and more snow may be coming Sunday. I don't think it's ever going to end.
Good grief, I agree....I would not want to take a chance walking or skating across a snow covered frozen lake. It's a good thing you both knew it was there! What beautiful scenery and a really pretty winter scene.

You poor things I hate the cold! We dipped below 45F today and I thought that was bad enough! Love the red against the snow and the detail is excellent.

Beautiful shot. My husband is always lecturing my boys on watching for level snow because it might be laying on a frozen pond.

I bet you are well and truly bored of the snow now. You can blow a bit over our way we still have had none.

Excellent Marilyn, the red is bold, draws one's attention to it.

Lovely scene and the red and blue draw the eye. (We saw folk taking canoes past the roped off areas into the flooded river near here!!)

@claireuk Thank you Claire. I do keep wondering if spring will ever come. Sigh. We're supposed to have another snow storm tomorrow.

We have been feeling the same about the rain :(

Wow, the freeze has certainly frozen over many places and lakes like this. We are getting much needed rain. Will not take us out of our drought mode but will help. Keep nice and warm.
