Residential street in the city

Pittsburgh, PA

There are many streets near the city proper that are pretty steep. It's no fun to drive on them in the snow. Fortunately I don't live close to the city and don't usually have to deal with streets like this.

Cool picture. I know my family has several homes on hills just like this, the old brick surfaces were fun to start rolling a marble down and then see it bouncing above the power lines a few blocks down, sledding and skateboards and bikes were all a thrill ride like Kennywood's coasters

Goodness that does look steep and must be really scary in the ice and snow. We live on a hill and even with the little snow we have here it can be pretty dicey in winter.

Very similar situation in Spokane, WA with the hills and icy streets. When I was there, I was told that there originally were street cars back in the day but they removed them long ago which makes absolutely no sense in the winter time!
