Walking on ice on the lake

This is not something I would do. Where they are walking, though, it is shallow. If the ice did break, the water would only go up to their knees. I still wouldn't want to take a chance, though.

Thank you very much for stopping by.
ooh no, that's very brave! I wouldn't risk it!

Great capture with a neat sense of scale between the people and background trees...That is very dangerous.

The scenery will definitely lower my triglycerides 💕

Awesome picture.

That really makes you take a second look. The lake doesn't look like it is frozen and he is just "walking on water". Good photo.

It looks like a lovely sunny day. The dog acts like he would like to get off the ice! Nice scenic shot, Marilyn.

A little dangerous, I don’t think I would chance it either! Nice capture

Rather dangerous, but a lovely scene. Fav!! 😀

Wow... looks dangerous. It appears the lake isn't frozen on the far side.

I like the way the figures give scale to the composition.

I wouldn’t want to do this either Fav

I beautiful winter scene. all depends on the coldness and how far down the lake is frozen. we here see trucks, cars, snowmobiles, fish huts and people walking all the time. the lake is usually frozen in January and the huts have to be off the lake middle of March.

Beautiful scenery but definitely something I would do!

Great shot Marilyn. I'm not sure I'd do it either, but it does look like fun. :)

Nice one. I'm back on 365

Good catch- sometimes it's the novelty of what you're doing that makes it attractive- like being able to walk on ice where water usually makes it impossible to do so!

Nice capture for you!

Oooh wow, I used to do this as a child but probably wouldn't now!

A lovely scene. Not sure I'd want to risk getting my feet wet in freezing water though 😲😲

Beautiful capture - are they mad, it may be shallow but it would be so cold!

@suzanne234 I thought that's probably what you originally meant, Suzanne. Thank you for clearing it up, though.
