What a cake! I see a definite French influence here. I bet it was delicious.

@moirab @glendq no unfortunately. We went into Bath which is a lovely city about 5k from us. A new French patisseries opened last year and the window displays are impossible to resist. This looks beautiful but unfortunately I don't like chocolate - hard to believe. So we had some pastries which were just mouthwatering.

Are you talking about Patisserie Valeria - can't believe that was the place I used to go to just off Leicester Square and ate of red formica tables! It's is so chic now. And obviously offers great photo ops! Lovely and colourful or should I just say 'Wow!'.

@girlie mmm. It looks stunning. Sadly though I don't like chocolate. So I admire the skill and the look. We into the place twice actually. First time it was for breakfast - an enormous croissant - then later for tea, fruit tartelettes with luscious fillings of apricot and apple. Won't say anymore or you'll be dreaming all night.

Certainly artistic and beautiful. I might go for something smaller though.

@shantwin I can confirm I wouldn't attempt to eat one of these on my own!
Sympathy here - I don't like chocolate. So can only look and admire.
