This shot was much harder to get than you'd imagine. I was taking snapshots of the kiddos at the mall play area with my trusty Canon Power Shot and I was very taken with the color of the rug AND the color of my daughters eyes as she crawled along the carpet of the play area for the first time.
To get the actual coloring I needed to abandon my flash, which meant I had to capture my daughter when she was being still AND looking at me. Yeah, that's basically impossible. This shot was the best I got - despite a blurry hand, you get all the adorableness of her eyes and the nice crisp colors I was going for. Next time maybe I'll bring the D40 and see how it does.
Cute, I know what you mean about the flash & kids, my three year old has been a blur in most of my pictures lately. Thoughtful of the folk at the mall to match their carpet with your baby's eyes! : )
