I was inspired by my 365 friend @judithg to make this color palette image. I used a simple picture of my daughter at the zoo this morning. Definitely a lot of fall colors in this photo, which admittedly is not the most colorful shot - but it was the best one I took today.
You can find easy directions for this technique at http://www.thecoffeeshopblog.com/2011/03/coffeeshop-colorbar-color-palette.html but I did it myself using Gimp since I don't have photoshop. I could have spent a bit more time getting my little palette squares lined up exactly but I decided close enough was close enough for today. No doubt I'll be trying this again another day with a better photo.
