Playing tourist at home. Okay not really home, I live 1.5 hours away from the Rhine Falls. Rheinfall in German (Riifall in Swissgerman) is the largest, but not the highest plain waterfall in Europe. At the moment about 600-700 cubicmeter water per second, drop the 23 meters, due to the snowmelt in the mountains.
After a long hike to find the orchids, and before driving home, we stopped here to have dinner with a view.
Great shot Mona. I took a heap of shots (on a film camera!!) from the viewing areas at the bottom and top right of the falls. We also saw some salmon attemting to swim up the falls. They are brilliant.
