Guard at Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, Halifax.

The Halifax Citadel’s star-shaped architecture is equally as impressive from the inside and out. It’s obvious why this strategic hilltop location with a commanding view of the Halifax harbour was chosen in 1749 for the fort destined to protect the city. Extremely interesting place, with a lot of great photo opportunities.

Fantastic shot and great viewed on black. It's an awesome location to get some very interesting shots, when you have extra time. I'm sure your hubby enjoyed the site too. FAV :)

@novab Yes, this is really a nice, intersting, but somehow also place making me sad. I took quite a lot of pictures, some very similar to yours, you posted a couple of days ago. What made me smile. Hubby M. went twice, once this afternoon, when I took this pic and the other morning before going home, he went back. In this time I was in the library, and down at the waterfront.
