First, I just love dramatic weather situations, and this storm brewing over the lake in the valley of the Bernes Alps made up for a nice pic.
And second because for me street photography represents an almost insurmountable obstacle. But this couple ignoring the storm coming, made up such a special subject. Of course, I do not know their history, but I thought to notice in the aura and posture, some clouds over their lives.
So I shot secretly just this only picture. (And my husband shook his head at my effrontery and my weaker self, shook its head too).
Superb job on all accounts. I'm glad you overcame your hesitation about street photography -- I have that same reluctance, in spades! -- because this is really a nice image. Love the symmetry of the bags and bottles on either side of the couple.
Street photography presents some moral and emotional challenges for me, too. This is a very compelling image... well done. I have managed to reconcile myself to backs of heads... they can't be identified otherwise. Maybe that is only a convenient divide? Lovely shot.
