2015-09-26 red hot

Sweet or hot? They say, one in ten is hellishly hot. Is it this one?

Interesting for me: A capsicum contains 3 times as much vitamin C as an orange. The first capsicum was brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus. In 1492 he discovered the capsicum in America. Because of its sharp flavor he thought it was a kind of pepper. This is why in English language capsicums are still called 'pepper' or 'bell pepper’. Over the years capsicums got much milder.
Beautiful "food" image.

What a great image, and so clever to have chosen a red background. In fact, looking at your monthly view - I see this is a theme you've chosen ... beautiful to see the grey, brown, green, orange, blue, yellow, red appearing one after another. Lovely - a veritable rainbow! Interesting information about the bell pepper too!

Red on red - a great way to suggest the heat of the pepers.
