Actually, I'm a real bookworm. And I like the sound of turning pages, the smell of real books, the donkey's ears and proper bookmarks, just as I like all stories in my eBook reader. With the help of books I can escape the daily hassles and dive into the world of stories and other peoples life.
But since I'm in this photo project here, I read a lot less than in other years. Too bad.
You have set a magical scene! I do agree with you on all accounts. I like to flip over the pages in a book to remind me who people are, what is going to happen etc. A book doesn't run out of battery too!
I am sooooo much agree with this phenomenon - once I started this project, my reading went WAY down, and I am shocked I can hardly remember the time where I just picked up a book and read for a while without being distracted by thoughts about photography.
Super shot, I love this Mona. It's got an old-and-true feel to it, as any great shot with a real book should be. I love your description of the smell of books and the sound of the pages turning - as they say, can't get that kind of magic with e-reading. :)
You have done this so beautifully, it's a fav for me. I love real books, and won't have an e-reader. My reading has also become less since I started this project, though I do read more about photography!
Wonderful for motion, and so evocative of a nice, quiet winter night sitting and reading, absorbed in other worlds with a cup of tea!! Love your take on motion!
