We have the most wonderful sunsets here. But to see a sunrise, we have to climb a mountain.
There's nothing like climbing through darkness and freezing temperatures to reach the summit. I always try to reach the summit well before the sunrise, to watch the colours change.
I am not a selfie person. In fact I am not a picture person at all. But today I took this with my cell phone, as “end-year-memory”. All alone up here,… waiting for the sun to rise and send its rays over the world and the sea of fog. How small and insignificant I am.
Wow certainly worth the walk and I hope we see some other shots while you were there... I am just back from an early morning shoot ... missed the sunrise but got the golden light and mist.. fav for the shot and the effort .

Wow, what an amazing sight! I only ever see the sunrise from my loft room window, but your shot has inspired me, I might get out there one day to see it from the top of a hill :-)
