2018-10-14 the magic of fog

The sun breaking through the fog. I have a love/hate relationship with fog. I live in a place where fog in the colder seasons is very common, and we often sit in the fog for days, weeks or even months. In this time I really feel like living in a bubble of cold greys, and I miss the light. But when it comes to photography, fog is full of magic. In its greys, but also here, at the fog line, where the sun has enought power to break through the fog. A few altitude meters higher, I enjoyed bright sunshine, a few lower, I was engulfed in a thick blanket of fog.
Nice sunburst. Looks good on black.

Fog does make interesting pictures. We rarely have fog in our area.

I live in an area famous for its fogs too, so I completely relate to this. Beautiful capture.

I'm sure the fog gets monotonous, but you've captured the scene beautifully.
