We had a masked low today, so higher temperatures and some rain, before it gets cold again. So the puddles are still here and the drains still blocked by the snow. Goood, very goooood (for me).
@mwerner Thanks for your comment and euestion. "Masked low", well this is a German weather term I literally translated to my low level English. Sorry, I have no idea what it is really called in English. An attempt to explain: Yesterday a low pressure system called "Stefan", pulled in from the UK and the North Sea and it’s "masked" cold front crossed Germany and later my country Switzerland. The cold front was “masked”, because it had at first no cold air in the luggage, but mild Atlantic air, which gradually thawed our cold and the precipitation fell as rain. To frosty ground notabene, which lead to black ice on the roads. That’s what I can say about a “masked low”. Today the weather is nice and the air is below freezing again.
