Phacelia has tiny but beautifully shaped, nicely scented purple/blue flowers and is listed as one of the top 20 honey-producing flowers for honeybees, wild bees and is very attractive to bumblebees and hoverflies. My Mum sows every year a small patch in her tiny garden for this plant, also because it makes a great green manure for the soil in the end. Thanks Mum for giving me this flower (and the rose) from your garden, for a portrait and my daily picture.
In my language they are called "Bienenfreund" --> bees-friend. :-)
BOB, if you have the time.
