I‘m in the mountains for a few days. Today as a start I explored another „hidden“ valley. After some 1000 meters of elevation gain the little road and the valley ends and is surrounded by high mountains. Great mountain bike tour to get my muscles smooth for an even bigger tour tomorrow. At least I hope so, would be terrible if I have a sore body tomorrow. ;-)

@randystreat Actually this road leads to a remote alpine pasture, and is used to transport goods from the alp. Mostly cheese I think. Its kind of a private road and motor vehicles other than the owner are not allowed to use it. But with the bike you can do so on your own risk. The hiking path is nearby, but doesn‘t follow the road. This is not one of the many official bike trails.
@gardencat Hi Joanne, well thanks for your comment. I didn‘t even mention it, it‘s mountain biking at the moment. Soon enough I will change to hiking again, when the trails get slippery due to rain and frost.
